Christmas makes us thankful for the times I’ve spent with you, my parents. Each year at this time I stop and spend a few moments recalling the many festive seasons we’ve spent together. When I was a child I knew that there would be presents under the tree, but it is only as an adult that I realize the sacrifices you must have made to make sure that every last thing we asked for was there. Now it’s time for me to spoil you, to take over the role of Father Christmas, to do the cooking and prepare the Christmas meal. It’s my turn to make sure that your glasses are filled and that you have a comfortable seat by the fire. So God bless you and keep you safe Mum and Dad, and may you enjoy a Christmas that is beyond compare.
You’re both so very special and I want to thank you,
For the past and what’s yet to come,
It makes me so very grateful, that you are my dad and mum.
May the joy of Jesus blessing find you safe and well, and grant you all the peace that comes with happiness and health,
So I’ll raise a glass and drink a toast,
To friends and family and those we love the most, our parents.
A family Christmas is one of the most joyous occasions, yet we can’t always spend that special day together. Wherever we are, and no matter how many miles lie between us, I hope that you both know that I think of you all the time. Having you as parents has helped me to become the person I am today, and words can never express all that I would want to say. I appreciate the gifts you gave me each Christmas but of course the greatest gift of all was your love and the time you devoted to me. You’ve shaped every area of my life and set such a great example that I just pray that I can continue to make you as proud of me as I am of you. So have the most joyful and happy Christmas and may all your wishes for the coming year be fulfilled.
